 Mango Pickle/Andhra special Avakkai Pickle:-

Ingredients Needed:-


Medium size mango-8 nos

Mustard seeds-1tbsp

Fenugreek-1tbsp

Red chilli powder-2 tbsp

Salt

Sesame oil-1/2 cup

Hing-1tsp


How to make Mango pickle:-


* Wash the raw Mangoes in water.Cut from the small pieces, add salt soak for 2-3 days, Then rinse it well.

* Dry Roast Mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds in a pan.Once the Mustard seeds start to  crackle, Switch off the flame and let it cool down.

* Transfer the Mustard seeds and Fenugreek seeds to a Mixer.Grind it to a smooth powder.

* To a wide mixing bowl,Heat oil.

* Add Hing, Ground powder& Red chilli powder- mix well.

* Now add the soaked mango pieces- mix well.

* Transfer in the glass bowl/ Ceramic bowl.

*Ensure the pickle is covered with oil ( about 1.5 inches) all the time to avoid getting spoil.

* Once you transfer the pickle in to a big jar for daily use.Store it in a small bottle or jar.
