 Keerai vada/ Spinach vada/# Snack Recipe#

Cooking time     : 15 minutes 

Ingredients:- 

Urad dal- 1cup (200 gms) 

Channa dal -  1/4 cup (50 gms) 

Siru keerai ( any type of spinach)- 1 cup          ( finely chopped)

Cumin seeds-1 1/2 tsp 

Green chillies -4 nos ( finely chopped) 

Ginger - 1/2 inch ( finely chopped) 

Salt - to taste 

Oil - for deep frying 

How to make keerai vada:- 

* Firstly wash the Urad Dal and channa dal, throughly.

* Soak the dals for 3-4 hours.

* Drain the water, Grind the dal to a roughly course paste.

* Add cumin seeds, green chillies and ginger.

* Add salt to taste.

* Add green spinach ( any type).

* Mix properly.

* Heat oil in a fry pan.

* Take a plate, wet your hand in water.

* Take a large ball of the urad dal mixture in your hand and place it.

* Shape into a flat vada, and make a hole in the center.

* Carefully place the shaped vada in the hot oil.

*Reduce flame to medium high. 

* Cook on medium high,heat on both sides.

* Cook the vada till crisp and golden brown.

* Serve hot with coconut chutney and Tea or Coffee.
